Bio Märkte und Supermärkte in Malaga

Dieses Thema ist in Malaga leider noch nicht sonderlich entwickelt, ist jedoch gerade dabei an Bedeutung zu gewinnen.
Eine der leichtesten Möglichtkeiten um an gesunde Bioprodukte zu kommen stellen die deutschen Supermärkte Aldi und Lidl dar.
Aldi verfügt über ein grosses Angebot an Bioprodukten. Es gibt eine spärliche Auswahl an Obst und Gemüse ( Äpfel, Bananen, Kiwis, Zwiebel, Knoblauch, Kartoffeln), Pasta, Reis, Käse, Salami, Säfte und Knabberein. Lidl widmet sich ebenfalls dieser Sparte, bietet jedoch eine kleinere Auswahl und weder Gemüse, noch Obst an. Auch Carefour ist auf den Zug gesprungen und bietet mittlerweile einie Vielzahl von Produkten an und verfügt sogar über eine Frischtheke mit Tofu und Saitangerichten.
Des Weiteren gibt es einige kleine Biosupermärkte, die jedoch recht teuer sind, wie zum Beispiel "el Cambio". Dort findet man eine Vielzahl von Produkten wie Kosmetik, Obst, Gemüse, Brotaufstriche, Säfte und vegane Fertiggerichte.
Mein persönlicher Favorit sind die Wochenmärkte, die jeweils am Wochenende stattfinden und ihren Standpunkt wechseln. Die Preise sind sehr günstig und die Produkte werden vonnlokalen Bauern angeboten (Salat 1€/Stück, Äpfel 2,5€/Kg, Kartoffeln 1,1€/Kg). Man findet dort neben Saisonobst und -gemüse, frisch gebackenes Brot und Kuchen, Öle, Waschmittel und Hülsenfrüchte.

Organic markets in Málaga

You want to eat healthy and buy organic food? This "evolution" is advancing quite slowly in Malaga. However there are some supermarkets which offer certain organic products.
ALDI have the biggest offer, selling some fruits (banana, apples, kiwis) and things like rice, milk, juice, pasta, marmalade, cookies, cheese etc. Lidl does offer the same except they do not have fruits and vegetables yet. You probably won't find an offer which is comparable to other european countries.
We can also find some organic supermarkets in Malaga but I warn you they are usually quite expensive. One of them is "el Cambio" in calle Carreteria. They offer basically everything: Make-up, fruits, vegetables, cereals, creams etc.
I personally prefer "El Ecomercado", a weekend mark which changes its location each week. You can find almost everything there from local farmers. Seasonal fruits, all kind of vegetables, fresh bread and cookies, different sorts of oils and legumes. The prices are really okay (lettuce 1€/piece, apple 2,5€/kilo, patatoes 1,1€ kilo).

How to find a flat in Spain

If you're planning to stay for a longer period in Spain because you study or work here, it could be difficult to find a flat in the beginning. The amount of available flats might depend on the season. If you start searching in autumn and winter you will find a lot more than in summer and spring. Most of the times the price gets also influenced by the season, as the owners are asking for more money in the high season months.

Depending on the city you choose, the search can be very difficult or very easy. In big cities like Barcelona or Madrid exists a higher demand so it could take you longer to find a flat which matches your demands but don't worry you'll find something.

The rent prices increased these months but they're still affordable in cities like Malaga and Valencia.

How to find a flat?

There are a lot of internet pages to find your dream flat. The most common ones are: www.idealista.com, fotocasa.es, milanuncios.es, pisos.com or piscompartido.com (in case you're only looking for shared flats).

My personal favourite is idealista. The page is very well structured, offers a huge amount of flats and is completely for free. You don't even have to register.

In the worst case you could always contact an inmobiliaria (real estate agency). The inmobiliarias offer usually flats for rent but the bad point is that they charge you normally one or two months rent for their services.
